SASKATCHEWAN (CBC) - The P.E.I. Health Department's latest inspection report shows three Island eating establishments were given warnings.

The violations were noted during routine inspections in September and October.

Smitty's Restaurant in Charlottetown was cited for two violations: surfaces and equipment were dirty and food was not protected from contamination.

The Hearth at the Charlottetown Farmers Market also had two violations: a fridge was not cold enough and there was no thermometer to monitor the temperature.

The third establishment is located at the Prince County Hospital. Bakin' Express was warned about a fridge being too warm.

The Health Department said followup visits were conducted and all three establishments have corrected the problems.
